The First Christmas in Tweets
December 25th, 2009By Don Cooper
How would the birth of Jesus have been recorded if Joseph had had access to Twitter? (Okay, this has absolutely nothing to do with sales. On the other hand, Jesus—at the time—was considered a heretic by many. So there’s that. Enjoy!)

Don ~ very clever.
Thelonius is a cool name. I’m sure he would have grown up to be a monk and start a jazz band.
I don’t know what myrrh is either. Might be the stuff Veronica uses in a few years washing Jesus’s feet; really upsets Judas.
Tweets from the Mall of Bethlehem about a lady with a lot of gold; sounds like @VirginMary went shopping!
Thanks and Merry Christmas!

FYI, myrrh was used as an embalming spice. Many believe that the gift of myrrh foreshadowed Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross. That’s why Joe didn’t know what to do with it.
Great parody, even though the wise guys didn’t really show up for a couple of years; the Bible even says the fam had even gotten a home (probably with a pretty good down-payment with the gold) by that time.
